Summary

This position is in the Government Accountability Office, Infrastructure Operations (IO),Immediate Office. The Immediate Office provides IO mgt. & staff with the timely, high-quality administrative support needed to accomplish IO's mission, vision & strategic initiatives. As a Supervisory Management Analyst you will be responsible for a broad range of vital GAO-wide efforts related to project mgt., budget, data analysis, policy development, communications, human capital & strategic initiatives.

Duties

As a Supervisory Management Analyst, MS-0301-I, your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Oversee the work of an the Immediate Office to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of programs, initiatives, and operations.
  • Plan and carry out program and procedural development and administrative functions related to human capital, workforce planning, project management, strategic planning and financial management.
  • Ensure timely delivery or competition of the unit's products or services by troubleshooting problems and providing solutions or alternatives to all Infrastructure Operations management, staff, and customers.
  • Serve as an expert project and program planning resource.
  • Advise management on developments in the project management field, facilitates project teams and assist project leaders in applying project management techniques and practices.
  • Assist staff on all aspects of project and program planning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
One year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND, PT-II, PE-I, CS-II or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent, (1) applying assessment and evaluation techniques to include cost/benefits analysis, human capital acquisition planning, and risk management; (2) developing or modifying requirements for a variety of projects focused on data analysis and continuous improvements.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
