Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) 20th Space Surveillance Squadron and Space Operations Command (20SPSS) Delta 2 (DEL 2) at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida is searching for a Supervisory Personnel Services Specialist (NH-0080-02, GS 05/11 equivalent).
Description:
Duty location is Freeport, FL--35 miles east of Eglin Main.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Interviews candidates for positions; recommends appointment, promotion, or reassignment. Hears and resolves complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager. Effects minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands, recommending other action in more serious cases. Identifies developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of 20th Space Surveillance Squadron ensuring that commander's support staff complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and financial management, security and administrative objectives. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Civilian Personnel Liaison, Human Resource Liaison, Human Resources. Military Personalist, Military HR. Extensive professional business writing skills.
Bachelor's degree is highly desired.

- Knowledge of organization's programs and activities; organization mission, policies, instructions, laws, and objectives to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Employees need to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
- PCS is not authorized. Incentive is not authorized.
