- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Childcare Tier 1 background investigation. The Crime Control Act must be successfully completed and maintained.
- Satisfactory performance, successful completion of training requirements and demonstrated on the job competency is required.
- Travel to on and off post locations required.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy to include annual influenza vaccinations.
Qualifications
    
        Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
(QUAL 1) Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study (at least 24 semester hours) in the fields appropriate to the position consistent with: Education must have been directly related to the position to be filled (general psychology/sociology courses are not qualifying).
	- For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.
OR
(QUAL 2)A combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in a subject matter field (24 semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above), 
plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described above.
In addition to meeting one of the requirements above (QUAL 1 or QUAL 2), candidate must also possess all of the following:
1. Experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs.
2. Experience managing a classroom setting within child and youth programs.
3. Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum.
4. Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
Applicants with experience in the following areas may be considered 
Highly Preferred and sent to management 
first for consideration.
Highly Preferred candidates will possess ALL of the following:
	- Two (2) years of experience working with Child and Youth Services (CYS) in the classroom or in a supervisory role in a Child Development Center or School Age Care program.
- Experience with Child Development or School Age accreditations (NAEYC of COA).
This experience must be 
clearly defined on your resume.

	- This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
- Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
- Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) is authorized for this position if the selectee is determined to meet eligibility requirements.
