Duties
- Serves as the manager for the Recreation Branch programs and in a dual capacity as Recreation Delivery Program Team leader.
- As the Recreation Branch manager for a hub facility, that includes a wide variety of physically dispersed social and recreation programs, is responsible for the overall management and direction of activities.
- As Recreation Delivery Program Team leader is responsible for planning and executing of community special events that respond to the needs and interest of the military/civilian population.
- Participates in strategic planning initiatives and measures such as Process Improvement Board and other group brainstorming sessions etc.
- Provides the full range of personnel management responsibilities for subordinate employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Driver's license required.
- Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events. Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items.
Qualifications
Directly related work experience that provided the applicant the ability, knowledge, skills, principles, methods and techniques to plan, organize, coordinate, supervise and evaluate a recreational program. Demonstrated work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
HIGHLY QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
1. More than 3 years' working experience in an MWR Community Recreation activity. Experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.
2. At least 1-year supervisory experience in an MWR Community Recreation activity. Experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.
3. Experience with planning, developing, executing, and monitoring an MWR Recreation. Experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.
