Duties

  • Plans, develops, coordinates, organizes, schedules, publicizes and directs a large, diversified installation intramural program.
  • Submits and justifies budgetary and manpower requirements and monitors contracts.
  • Determines supplies and equipment necessary and initiates requisitions for effective and efficient operation of the program. Ensures proper accountability, maintenance and care of equipment.
  • Supervises and reviews the daily work of sports and field maintenance staff. Develops and prepares staff performance standards and appraisals.
  • Keeps employees informed of management goals and objectives. Reviews and implements specific and general provisions of government-wide personnel, EEO, ICE and other programs.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering, or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports. This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, school or college; or planning, teaching, or evaluating a physical education curriculum, for a secondary or higher academic level. Experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience may be substituted with a four year degree with an emphasis related to the duties performed e.g. physical education/sports/fitness/recreation etc.

Highly Preferred Criteria:
Have experience in Online League Management.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
