This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

  • Conduct physical inventory counts of existing inventory.
  • Prepare inventory adjustments for discrepancies disclosed by physical inventories.
  • Identify all items in error, those in error triggering research, identification, and elimination of the root cause of the error.
  • Process inventory adjustments in LMP and HK System based on disparities in inventory.
  • Provide explanation, based on research, for variances between on hand inventory and accountable records to the Team Leader.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordination relating to inventory procedures.
  • Perform office automation tasks.
  • Monitor and maintains inventory locations, balances, and bulk locations giving pertinent information as to inventory count.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the expirience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience which includes monitoring a variety of technical supply functions in the overall control of the editing, issuing, transferring, replenishing, excessing, disposing, and performing adjustments pertaining to all supply transactions for the Anniston Army Depot. Recognizes problems and takes corrective actions based upon extensive research utilizing supply automated data systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
