The Screen-out Element for this position is: THE ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THIS POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION
- Setting up and operation of specialized and precision machines such as jig grinders, internal and external thread grinders that are common to the trade.
- Applying advanced shop mathematics and formulas to determine dimensions and geometries.
- Utilizing a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastic, rubber and other materials.
- Working to tolerances of one tenth of one thousandths of an inch and sometimes as small as ten millionths on calibration work.
- Using micrometers, Vernier's, height gages, surface gages, dial indicators, comparators, etc.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, NPEA's, PEM's and other technical specifications.
