Job Description (Please follow all instructions carefully)

Summary

You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the PSNS and IMF.

This position will serve in a bridge program designed to give employees an opportunity to gain competencies necessary to qualify for a GS-1712 position. If selected, you will be placed in the position Not to Exceed One Year.

Duties

  • You will develop, revise, and adapt assigned courses under close supervision.
  • You will learn to develop facilities, training devices, and evaluation tools.
  • You will prepare lesson plans and training materials based on course objectives under close supervision.
  • You will develop necessary training aids and determine time schedules and sequences of instruction.
  • You will encourage class attendance, participation, and conduct.
  • You will be responsible for the improvement and modification of training for assigned courses under close supervision.
  • You will maintain training records and develop training reports under the guidance of the supervisor or lead instructor.

  • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and nonionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
