Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens
This is a mixed position: 0360- Teacher (Business), 0361 Teacher (Computer Science), 0340 Teacher (Mathematics) and 0485 School Educational Technologist.
PRIMARY CERTIFICATION MUST HAVE 0360 BUSINESS, SECOND CERTIFICATION MAY BE ANY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: 0361 COMPUTER SCIENCE, 0340 MATHEMATICS, 0485 SCHOOL EDUCATION TECHNOLOGIST.
Applicant must have at least a Bachelor's Degree.
0361 Teacher (Computer Science)-A major in computer science, a minimum of 18 semester hours in computer science or 12 semester hours in computer science with additional qualification as a teacher of mathematics, science, or business is required. Course work must include programming languages such as JAVA, C++, VISUAL BASIC or other equivalent computer programming course work.
0360 Teacher (Business)- A major in business or a minimum of 30 semester hours in the field of business is required. Course work must include one accounting course, a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper level business courses and a minimum of 9 semester hours in computer science courses.
0340 Teacher, Mathematics (Secondary)- A minimum of 24 semester hours with a minimum of 12 semester hours in of upper-level course work in mathematics is required. Course work must be in at least 4 of the following content areas: Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus,
Method of Teaching Mathematics, or History of Mathematics. Only mathematics credits obtained directly from a mathematics or mathematics education department will be accepted.
0485 School Educational Technologist- A minimum of 18 semester hours of education technology related course work is required. Course work must be specific to instructional technology content. Such courses include instructional design, online or distance learning, integration of technology into curriculum including assistive technology, assessment and planning for technology, professional learning and development, and technology leadership in education. No more than 6 semester hours will be accepted in content areas such as STEM education, emerging technologies in education, augmented or virtual reality in education, artificial intelligence (AI), digital media and design, video communications, or media and gaming design.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
