Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Tools and Parts Attendant without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common tasks including receiving, storing, and issuing tools and equipment, maintaining vehicle and equipment records, operating vehicles up to and including 5-ton trucks, instructing Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operators, handling various records and reports, organizing inventory, scheduling and processing maintenance, training personnel in MHE operations, and compiling operational data for reports.

Physical Effort: Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas requiring standing, stooping, bending and walking. Frequently lifts and carries tools, parts, supplies and equipment weighing up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs, using equipment and other workers for assistance on heavier items.
Working Conditions: Work area is well lighted, heated and ventilated. Occasionally works in unheated drafty and dirty areas. Is exposed to possible cuts, scrapes and bruises.
