Duties
- Receives, stores, inventories and issues the full range of available tools and supplies used by shop personnel.
- Verifies and reports overages, shortages and damaged items.
- Issues and receives returned items; checks for damage or maintenance needs upon return.
- Reports damaged or inoperative tools and used or excess items to the supervisor.
- Performs minor maintenance on tools and stock items.

Conditions of Employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Work is performed in a storage area that is occasionally drafty and noisy, exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes and bruises.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Work requires standing, stooping, bending and working in uncomfortable positions. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications
Knowledge of common use and trade names of items stocked and the ability to match the two.
Ability to maintain and use locator files, inventory records and issue records.
Candidates must be able to:
1. Organize and arrange tools and stock.
2. Complete and maintain records used.
3. Lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
Education
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
