Duties
- Incumbent operates a warehouse-type tractor to transport material and equipment; or operate light-weight mowing tractors.
- Tows such vehicles as wheeled trailers, dump carts and skids that are connected to the tractor with simple coupling device such as pin and eye.
- Transports materials, furniture and supplies in a warehouse or between facilities within the installation.
- Performs limited operator maintenance on tractors.

- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory condition of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
- Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Must possess and maintain a current valid drivers license.
- Must maintain the physical requirements of the position.
- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
- An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Must be willing to accept part-time employment.
- Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
- Must be physically able to stoop, bend, and reach, on a frequent basis.
- Must be physically able to move your arms and legs to operate tractor controls.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry parts of equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- have directly related work experience in operating warehouse-type tractors and associated equipment that includes a working knowledge of tractor controls for starting, stopping and maneuvering the tractor and towed vehicles in a congested warehouse, AND
- documented experience showing you have performed minor maintenance on equipment (e.g. tractors), AND
- knowledge of the location of grease fittings and fluid reservoirs so you are able to grease the vehicles and replenish oil, AND
- possess, or ability to obtain, and maintain a Government motor-vehicle operator's permit.
