Summary

As a Training Instructor with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Human Resources Solutions, Federal Talent Management Center, you will deliver executive leadership training, facilitate learning programs, analyze training effectiveness, and provide expert guidance to enhance curriculum, instructional delivery, and workforce development outcomes.

Duties

  • Deliver executive and leadership development programs across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.

  • Facilitate complex discussions, workshops, and experiential learning activities for senior-level audiences.

  • Analyze training data, participant engagement, and program outcomes to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.

  • Develop reports, executive briefings, and actionable insights to inform leadership decision-making.

  • Collaborate with curriculum designers and stakeholders to refine instructional materials and ensure alignment with Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs).

  • Provide expert guidance on training strategies, instructional design, and learning solutions to meet organizational needs.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program quality, delivery methods, and learner outcomes.

Qualifications

For the GS 13

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service (or equivalent) performing all of the following:

  1. Delivering and facilitating leadership or workforce development programs;
  2. Evaluating training programs to assess effectiveness and/or inform improvements;
  3. Developing and communicating recommendations, reports, and/or briefings to support leadership decision-making; and
  4. Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance training strategies, curriculum, and/or program outcomes.

You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Additional information

This is a Term Appointment that will last 1 year and may be extended up to 4 years. This position will terminate at the end of the term appointment and will not be converted to a permanent position.
Relocation expenses will not be paid.
