Qualifications for GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level is required;
OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in education or a subject area related to the position;
OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in education or a related area;
OR LL.M., if related
To qualify for this position, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal service performing the following types of tasks on a regular and recurring basis:
Specialized experience must include the following:
- Developing training/course materials, curriculum, aids, devices, etc. for students;
- Teaching or instructing in the areas of military professional development/ accessions and leadership development;
- Providing formal classroom and experiential performance-based training for military accession students;
- Participating in the developing and modification of military instructional courses content and materials using experiential and innovative methodologies.
- Assessing status of course content and conducting evaluations in accordance with qualification training accreditation standards
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
NOTE: Education can be substituted for experience at this grade level.
