Summary

As a Utility Systems Repairer Operator, you will be responsible for independent operation, maintenance, and minor repair of large industrial chiller units as well as operating and maintaining various plant systems such as steam boilers.

This is an open continuous job announcement. Applications will be reviewed for qualifications and eligibility to be issued to Selecting Officials using the cut off dates as indicated below in the Additional Information Section.

How You Will Be Evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

You will be assessed on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics):

  • Factor 1: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.
  • Factor 2: Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, etc.
  • Factor 3: Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic).
  • Factor 4: Use of Measuring Instruments.
  • Factor 5: Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (includes blueprint reading).
  • Factor 6: Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
