Summary


About the position: This position will be assigned to the Marketing Department, Dyess AFB, Texas.

This position is considered Regular Part Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Employees are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k, and NAF Retirement.

Duties

Responsible for developing graphics and information in print and a variety of media for even and program publicity for 7 FSS.

Designs and produces logos, certificates, invitations, and advertisement copy for publication and for paid advertising.

Uses sources such as former projects, advertising sources, clip art or specific directives from customers for themes and ideas. Prepares presentation slides with specific standards in layout and writing styles.

Responsible for designing and maintaining the squadron website, to include updates to both the restricted and unrestricted sites.

Must be able to assimilate information and add to web pages in accordance with AF instructions and guidance.

Must keep abreast of changes to AFI's, manuals and guidance covering web pages and maintenance as well as ensuring all licenses, registrations and clearances for the web page are kept up to date.

Maintains squadron Facebook, Instagram, websites, web-based products, print mediums, electronic advertising mediums, social media accounts, marquee, squadron channels, email updated and current.

Coordinates with public affairs or communications personnel as needed for requirements, programs and processes relating to social media.

Assists in tracking marketing metrics through social media such as through clicks/customer awareness, use of tracking ratios and social media participation.

Manages multiple versions of content, design, and implements new technology in social media as it is released.

Recommends social media use/solutions for customers.

Develops content for all customer-facing formats, including website and digital/social media. Coordinates with the necessary installation offices to ensure web pages follow all security and accessibility procedural guidance, regulations, and policies.

Handles and tracks day-to-day facility updates as well as coordinating consumer requests from the web customer to the facilities.

Responsible for development, design, writing and sending of weekly e-mail, text, and website updates.

Assists with the edit of all copy material for sentence structure, grammar, typos, and punctuation.

Uses desktop publishing software (Adobe PageMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint) , word processing, spreadsheets, video editing, and other graphics software programs to produce a wide variety of publicity materials such as booklets, flyers, brochures, banners, posters, videos, electronic media, social platforms, and other marketing mediums/materials

Must track project time consumption, account for cumulative total hours devoted to specific projects or tasks.

Schedules production time on a priority-first basis to ensure that work is submitted and completed in a timely manner ensuring overall success of a squadron event.

Tracks and stores projects for easy retrieval with document file and systems to maintain continuity of office efficiency.

Will assist with the maintenance and changing of the Marquee.

Must be able to drive a government vehicle or pickup truck in the performance of duties relating to the marketing Office such as to retrieve supplies from local area or deliver items to base locations.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Occasionally required to work outside normal business hours to support unit events. May be subject to an irregular tour of duty.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in the use of social media and networking platforms and tools including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.

Must possess broad understanding of web-based trends and technologies, including demonstrated experience with e-mail marketing and social media. Must have experience in updating and maintaining web pages and social media programs.

Requires work experience in graphic/art design and/or digital design to include both digital and print mediums.

Ability to use computers to perform design, research, composition and create promotional materials.

Must have experience in arranging and composing materials from conception, design stage and into final format.

Must be able to work independently and at times of high stress. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

Must have experience working specialized PC software programs: Adobe Creative Suites (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.).
Must be organized and creative with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks while maintaining several of the programs listed and have the ability to accomplish multiple tasks while maintaining deadlines on a timely manner.

Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time at both indoor and outdoor functions.

Must be able to work some nights and weekends if necessary.

Must be able to successfully obtain a Tier One background investigation.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

This is a drug testing designated position. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
Incumbent is required to drive a government motor vehicle in the performance of his/her duties.

Must be able to provide a copy of a current driving record.

Education
