FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
- Experience responding to livestock and poultry animal disease emergencies as part of a State or Federal Incident Management Team or Incident Coordinator.
- Experience coordinating with local, State and federal agencies to prepare and respond to foreign animal disease investigations or outbreaks.
- Experience as a subject matter expert advising Federal Agencies, State and local governments in the areas of foreign animal disease responder training programs or exercise design, development, and delivery. Including experience conducting and reviewing After Action Reports (AARs).
- Experience in developing and interpreting State or Federal regulations, policies and procedures for livestock and poultry disease response.
- Experience collaborating with livestock and poultry stakeholder groups to prepare for, respond to, and deconflict regulatory interventions
- for animal disease outbreaks including the conduct of field operations.
Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.
