Summary

The FBI's Information Technology Infrastructure Division (ITID) is seeking a highly qualified Visualization Specialist to install, secure, manage, and maintain the Cloud on Premise and Virtual Desktops. This includes working with customers and partners in a fast-paced, challenging environment providing critical services for the FBI. Duties

GS-12:

  • Works with unit leadership to formulate goals, initiatives, and plans to accomplish and maintain the FBI mission.
  • Collaborates with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex problems.
  • Supports end-users by resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Enterprise virtual and physical servers, software, and IT systems.
GS-13: in addition to the above:
  • Researches, analyzes, designs, implements, documents, and tests IT systems.
  • Ensures compliance with security protocols during hardware and software maintenance.
  • Provides recommendations to team and unit leadership regarding upgrades, configuration changes, system requirements, and new emerging technology.
  • Monitors and supports contractor services.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

GS-12: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

  • Experience supporting Enterprise virtual and physical IT services environments, including troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Experience documenting and following technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience resolving routine IT issues and escalating complex problems.
  • Experience providing professional customer support.
GS-13: in addition to the above: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Experience managing and maintaining systems and services independently.
  • Experience presenting to unit, section, and division leadership.
Desired Skills

Desired skills are NOT mandatory and will NOT be utilized to minimally qualify applicants. Desired skills are:

Experience with and/or knowledge of one or more of the following:
  • VMWare (EXS/EXSi)
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • VDI
  • Virtual Hosting
