Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and overseeing all aspects of complex ship maintenance, modernization, and repair projects including planning, engineering, production, testing, and certification of work accomplished by production shops.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
The employee may be required to work in pier shacks, mobile trailers, and temporary buildings to accomplish specific assignments. Work site visits on-board ships, in dry docks, dockside, at wet berths, and at anchorage may be required. Work performed in these areas is usually dirty and sometimes exposes personnel to hazards such as: electromagnetic energy, exposure to the elements, dust, smoke, fumes, weld flash, noise, open flame, sparks, lubricants, operating machinery, and hazardous materials. These work site visits may require the wearing of applicable Personal Protective Equipment to include hard hats, safety glasses, safety shoes, and occasional protective clothing such as gloves, respirators, mask, goggles, shields, earplugs, or other devices.
Work is performed in an industrial environment; a significant amount of walking, climbing of stairs, steps, ladders, and standing may be required such as to make routine checks on ships in overhaul and/or dry dock, in areas where certain potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present.
