ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE
Ability to be responsible for all welding operations and planning the use of subordinate workers in such operations.
Ability to adheres to deadlines when planning work and determining which projects and assignments to prioritize.
Ability to attend meetings with other supervisors and managers to furnish and receive information regarding progress and problems on existing work projects and tentative new work.
Ability to understand and apply safety precautions associated with welding.
Ability to counsel employees on work and workplace issues.
Ability to use personal knowledge of work operations to plan, implement, and revise work schedules as needed.
Ability to review assigned routings for clarity of instructions, man hour allowance, and schedule span.
Ability to organize, coordinate and direct the work of welding and shipfitter personnel.
Ability to schedule subordinates leave according to workload and critical events.
Ability to prepare verbal and written reports for supervisor.
Ability to maintain accurate records of work performed by subordinates.
