Duties
- Serves as working leader of 3 or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work.
- Passes on to other workers instructions received from supervisor, and starts work (e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led). Insures that needed supplies and materials are available.
- Provides information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall operations. Assures that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.
- Prepares tables and area for service. Receives guests, makes suggestions and answers questions about food, wines and other items available. Takes orders.
- Collects cash or payment by credit card. Clears and cleans tables and other customer service areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Medical Examination is required.
- Must be willing to accept a varying or rotating shift to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- This position is eligible to receive gratuities (tips) based on the type of event(s) and performance.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Qualifications
Candidates must:
1. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment (where duties involve serving alcoholic beverages).
2. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.
3. Be able to communicate effectively in English.
4. Have work experience performing waiter duties.
5. Experience training staff on service cycles and procedures.
This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.
Skill and Knowledge:
Ability to lead others in a team effort.
Knowledge of sanitary food handling and serving techniques.
Math ability to compute checks and make change.
Ability to recognize the signs of intoxication.
Able to train staff on procedures
