This flyer is seeking to fill immediate openings for our new Warrior Eatery on Naval Base Kitsap. Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the MWR Food & Beverage program; at NBK Bangor.

Duties

We have immediate openings for the following positions:
Barista
Food Service Worker
Custodian
Cook

Barista NA 7408-02

Performs tasks involved in preparing and serving customers with snacks and beverages including coffee and made to order espresso beverages.
Orders food items to be sold (ie. Muffins, biscotti, snacks, etc.) and ensures retail stock is replenished as needed.
Arranges items in an appealing marketing display for sale.
Operates cash register and prepares necessary documentation for cash funds accountability.
May assist in taking inventory.
Performs housekeeping tasks and is accountable for maintaining a safe, clean workplace.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Food Service Worker NA 7408-02/03

Prepares and bakes a variety of pizzas from prepared ingredients, selecting the correct amount of each
ingredient for the pizza ordered, arranging and layering the ingredients as shown. Prepared sandwiches, including Italian sausage, meatball and submarines.
Performs tasks such as grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, french fries, etc., by watching while the items are cooking, turning as required; regulating temperature and removing when done.
Packages prepared food for off-premise consumption or serves for on premise consumption. Operates and uses bake and holding ovens, pizza makers, slicers, fryers and miscellaneous kitchen utensils.
Rings up sales on a cash register and makes changes. Counts and turns in change funds and daily receipts.
Maintains concept environment, equipment, utensils and surfaces in a sanitary clean and neat condition.
In food preparation or food beverage service areas: Scrapes and pre-rinses dishes, glasses and flatware for washing. Separates food waste and trash. Loads dishes into dishwasher; hand washes dishes. Stacks and stores clean dishes. Scrapes, cleans, scrubs, washes or wipes ranges, ovens, fryers and urns. Cuts, scrapes, chops, dices or peels fruit and vegetables.
Removes soiled dishes, glasses and flatware from tables and carries to the dish washing area.
Cleans tables or paper, other trash or soiled linens and wipes table clean.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Custodian NA 3566-02

The incumbent vacuum cleans rugs and draperies; shampoos rungs and up holster; sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using light to heavy industrial-type equipment, adjusting and changing buffers, brushes and other attachments as needed.
Dusts, waxes and polishes office furniture, dusts ledges and woodwork; empties cigarette disposal cans and waste baskets, disposing of trash and recycling waste appropriately.
The incumbent cleans glass partitions, inside and outside windows, walls and ceiling fixtures using ladders and scaffolds.
May be required to move and set up tables, chairs and other equipment as required for events.
The incumbent maintains restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition - cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, sinks and toilet bowls, replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels and soap.
Cleans mirrors and water fountains and performs light maintenance such as changing light bulbs.
The incumbent maintains an adequate supply of cleaning materials and advises supervisor when more are needed or when equipment needs repair or replacement.
Polices outside buildings within ten (10) feet.

Cook NA 7404 04

Performs a variety of tasks such as grilling or frying pancakes, hamburger, hot dogs, bacon, eggs, sausage, by watching while the items are cooking, turning as required; regulation temperature and removing when done.
Measures and weighs ingredients according to recipes or as directed in the preparation of salads, desserts, juices, fruit trays, etc.
Prepares toast, salads, salad dressing, and sandwiches.
Prepares vegetables and fruits for serving according to instructions and / or recipes.
Place cooked food in serving dishes in steam carts and food trucks.
Washes and cleans kitchen equipment and work area.
Keep refrigerators, grills, equipment and working area clean.
May be required to collect money, operate a cash register and prepare necessary documentation for cash funds accountability.
May assist in inventory taking.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Additional information
