Physical Demands: Work requires frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, bending, reaching, stretching, crouching, and working in awkward positions. Performs strenuous tasks while standing or sitting, often in uncomfortable positions and limited-access areas. Requires considerable arm movement when nailing and using handsaws, planes, screwdrivers, drills, and shop-mounted woodworking equipment. Works from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts at heights up to 125 feet. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up tools, equipment, and parts weighing up to 50 pounds in various shapes and sizes. Occasionally lifts and carries items exceeding 50 pounds or items with irregular shapes or sizes.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in offices, workshops, industrial, or mechanical spaces, both indoors and outdoors, in all types of weather and conditions-clean or dirty, quiet or noisy, hot or cold-and in tight spaces. May be exposed to grease, exhaust, foul odors, and other unpleasant conditions, as well as hazards such as broken bones, strains, sprains, cuts, bruises, burns, and slipping or falling risks. May experience eye, skin, nose, and lung irritation from glue, bonding chemicals, vapors, splinters, and sawdust. Frequently exposed to the risk of cuts and serious injuries, including loss of fingers, while operating woodworking machines. Must exercise caution around moving parts during equipment operation. Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). May be required to work during snow events, emergencies, or special events to ensure operational readiness of equipment before, during, and after such events. May be exposed to extreme temperatures ranging from below 0°F to above 100°F.
