THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a COMPUTER ASSISTANT T32, Position Description Number PDD1074000 and is part of the AZ WAATS, National Guard.
Duties
This position is located in Marana, Arizona with the WAATS. The purpose of the position is to administer and maintain Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A) at the WAATS. Position provides guidance to users in the daily operation and maintenance of the ULLS-A system and serves as the point of contact between the WAATS and external supporting organizations (e.g., Combat Service Support Automation Management Office AVCRAD, National Guard).

Conditions of Employment
- ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the WAATS.
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Irregular (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications
Military Grades: SPC/CPL/E4 - SSG/E6
Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess or able to qualify for the 25 Series MOS
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, training, or education which demonstrates the applicants ability to follow directions, procedures, or systematic work methods which gives evidence of the candidates ability to perform this work. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 24 months experience maintaining continuity of production control; coordinating work load priorities and scheduling multiple requirements. Experience applying optional methods to new or developmental requirements and provide for program dependencies and priorities. Experience identifying computer requirements or techniques associated with the development and design of data processing systems. Experience in planning and programming requirements related to computer systems or applications.
Education

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):
1. Knowledge of computer equipment, internal computer processes, and application and utility programs.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of analytical and diagnostic methods, procedures, and principles to identify system failures, take corrective actions to resume normal operations, and implement procedures to allow for partial use until problems are resolved.
3. Knowledge of the codes, abbreviations and terms used in the ULLS-A system program and the order needed to acquire, interpret and resolve problems based on information derived from ULLS-A system reports.
4. Skill and knowledge to independently apply DoD, Army, NGB, and local policies, standards, and directives to perform analysis, to evaluate the automated information systems requirements, and offer assistance and guidance to those who receive informational products.
5. Knowledge of a wide range of current automated information systems, data automation, and information technology concepts, methods, techniques, and procedures. This includes Army, NGB, and commercial off-the-shelf systems technology.
