This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1930000 and is part of the IL 183 WG, National Guard.

Duties
As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) (TITLE 32), GS-1152-9, you will serve as a staff specialist who has a dual primary purpose; (1) is to provide advanced technical aircraft mechanical knowledge and training support to upgrade skills to maximize performance of the Air Mobility Division (AMD) as an effective division of the Air & Space Operations Center (AOC) force level Weapon System (WS) and (2) work independently or as part of an AMD functional team to provide expert technical support, information, and assistance for planning and employment as it relates to aircraft maintenance and recovery.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
- Administer prepared lesson plans from standard formats to ANG military AOC WS Specialists providing highly trained intra-theater and inter-theater expertise within the AMD, based on aircraft maintenance experience pertinent to the planning and execution of air mobility aircraft recovery operations in a variety of operational environments.
- Responsible for all aspects of training to include having the necessary training materials available for each lesson, for scheduling the classroom and necessary equipment, monitoring progress during training, and advising the appropriate authority when deficiencies exist.
- Conduct training utilizing AOC plans and operations processes, procedures, systems, and specific positional duties.
- Teach formal training directives and adjusts course materials to meet individual requirements.
- Provide specialized technical expertise on all aspects of the accepted system of record for the AOC WS.
- Provide expert technical support, information, and assistance for mission planning and employment as it relates to aircraft maintenance and recovery.
- Interpret and use maintenance data reports and technical orders; and coordinates with supply, operations, and other support activities to improve procedures and solve problems.
- Perform staff work based on specialized knowledge of the air mobility mission in the AOC and the related programs to ensure safe and successful accomplishment of air mobility requirements.
- Improve training materials by ensuring each is accurate within the guidelines of current directives, instructions and procedures as outlined by AF, MAJCOM, c-NAF, and ANG.
- As the expert in aircraft and support equipment maintenance operations and documentation, ensure forms and records pertaining to the planning and execution of air mobility aircraft recovery operations in a peacetime or contingency environment are promptly and accurately accomplished.
- Perform administrative and operational tasks as trained staff Logistics Team members augmenting an Air Mobility Control Team (AMCT).
- Ensure compliance with directives, regulations, reports, and operationally specific publications.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code ? 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:
- The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
- The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees.
- The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible.
- The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership.
- The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens.
Military Grades: Enlisted Only - May not exceed the rank of CMSgt.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess the experience, education or training which indicates you can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Level - MUST possess specialized experience, education, which includes 24 months, preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes; experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
In order to be considered qualified, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in Federal service.
