Summary
These positions are located in a USDA, Rural Development Office and serves in a developmental trainee capacity. The incumbent will receive extensive on-the-job training in a variety of routine tasks that will provide experience and technical competence in the methods, procedures, principles, theories and techniques utilized in the performance of various administrative or program functions.
This is NOT a remote position. The incumbent will be expected to report to the Marianna, Florida office.

Duties
- Receives training on and uses software and information systems to perform work assignments.
- Assisting others in performing a variety of routine tasks to gain experience and technical competence in the methods, procedures, principles, theories, and techniques utilized in administering RD loan and grant programs.
- Providing information to the public; initiating and preparing correspondence; maintaining records, reports and files.
- Assisting in application processing and servicing for Single Family (SFH) loans and grants, and/or Community Program (CP) loans and grants, and/or Business Program (BP) loans and grants.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
For the GS-03 grade level: Applicants must have completed 1 full academic year of post-high school study.
For the GS-04 grade level: Applicants must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree.
At the undergraduate level, successfully completed education that has not led to possession of a degree is credited based on its relationship to 120 semester hours or 180 quarter hours. For example, 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours is comparable to 1 year of undergraduate education.

Conversion: In addition to meeting the pathways requirements for conversion, an applicant converting to a Loan Technician, GS-1101-07 is required to also meet the OPM Qualification Standards for the GS-1101 series.
