This job opportunity is for an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, position description D1891000, within the 141st ARS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.
The purpose of this position is to supervise, establish and direct a planned, systematic approach of a quality assurance program designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence in aircraft, aircraft systems, products or supporting processes.

This vacancy announcement is for a Dual-Status Technician position which requires active membership in the New Jersey National Guard (uniformed military service). Official appointment is not effective until membership within the New Jersey National Guard is confirmed by the gaining Human Resources Office.
Duties
As an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2101-9, you will:
- Provide preflight briefings to military aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans reviews and evaluates aircrew currencies and orders
- Provide preflight briefings to military and civilian aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans
- Perform the testing, and evaluation of new ARMS patches, updates, or releases and performs the Installation of ARMS on computers for new users or on replacement equipment
- Control and monitor the resource and training requirements of assigned rated and non-rated aircrew for mission accomplishment and safety of flight
- Work independently to provide aircrew with information and assistance for planning and conducting safe flight operations

Military Requirements
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Qualifications
General Experience:
Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures and using computer and automation systems.
Specialized Experience:
Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in the following:
- Arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight.
- Pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers.
- Coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.
