This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC), and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) of Administration. The incumbent serves as the Supervisory Lead for the Asset Management Office (AMO) for the ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) and reports directly to the Chief of the Technology Management Section (TMS). This is a supervisory position.
The AMO Supervisory Lead is responsible for the management and oversight of program management functions and processes for IHSC's medical equipment at 19 IHSC medical facilities across the country. In addition, the Lead is responsible for managing government furnished equipment including laptops, cell phones, computer monitors, etc. for staff located at IHSC's headquarters. The incumbent ensures that these programs are executed effectively with other program areas within IHSC.
The position requires not only technical oversight, but also the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team, translate complex requirements into actionable solutions, and foster collaboration across technical, clinical, and administrative domains. The incumbent must demonstrate adaptability, sound judgment, and strong leadership skills, even in areas outside of direct subject matter expertise.
IHSC has a multi-sector, multidisciplinary workforce of more than 1,600 employees, including
U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) commissioned officers, federal civil servants, and contract staff. The IHSC provides on-site direct patient care to ICE detainees at 18 detention facilities throughout the country and manages the provision of off-site medical care for detainees housed in approximately 240 additional Intergovernmental Service Agreement (IGSA) facilities. The ICE detainee population is approximately 34,000 detainees daily, with an average length of stay of approximately 30 days, and over 400,000 detainees annually. The IHSC also provides medical support during ICE enforcement operations in the air, on the ground and at sea.

The incumbent works under the supervision of the Section Chief, Technology Management Section. The incumbent plans and organizes his/her own work, determines the sequence of assignments, selects and develops methods, and seeks assistance from experts only rarely. Assignments are usually long-term, recurring, or broadly defined. Work is reviewed for feasibility, compatibility with other work, and effectiveness in meeting requirements or expected results.
