MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADE 8: High school diploma or GED certificate plus four (4) years of experience in basic (general) maintenance techniques in a variety of trades such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for a building or building complex.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADE 9: High school diploma or GED certificate plus five (5) years of experience in intermediate maintenance techniques in a variety of trades such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for a building or building complex. Must have and maintain a District of Columbia Class 8A Refrigeration license or a District of Columbia Class 6 Steam & Hot Water Boiler License. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour safety training is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADE 11: High school diploma or GED certificate plus seven (7) years of experience in advanced maintenance techniques in a variety of trades such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems for a building or building complex. Must have and maintain a District of Columbia Class 3 Steam Engineer license or be certified with the designation of a Master’s certificate (plumbing, electrical or HVAC). Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour safety training is required.
The incumbent must be licensed to operate a DC Courts' vehicle, and must be able to participate in a rotating, on-call duties, scheduled overtime and emergency support as needed.
