Summary

This is a full-time position with the Marshal's Office at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C.

Duties

The Building Support Technician/Forklift Operator (Day) cleans a variety of surfaces, moves furniture and other materials, performs other custodial tasks and manual labor as directed. Responsible for using a forklift or other equipment to load, unload, move, stack and stage materials. Performs other duties as assigned. Hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Prior building support experience is required. Forklift certification is required to maintain employment. Must be able to work on ladders at varying heights. Ability to work with heavy cleaning equipment, e.g. hand buffers, scrubbers, waxers and polishers, floor strippers, and rug cleaners. Ability to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.

Education

A high school education is required.
