In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.
Your
resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or
equivalent to the CP-13/GS-15 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or
equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience
must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating budget to implement program
objectives of the organization; 2) Advising personnel on financial management
program, policies, and procedures; 3) Interpreting budgetary regulations to
determine impact on organizational programs; and 4) Preparing for and
overseeing financial statement audits.
Additional Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, public administration, accounting or
related field.
-Experience with the Congressional budget process and Appropriations Law.
-Fifteen plus years of specialized leadership experience in budget, finance,
administrative management, accounting or related field.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact courteously and
professionally with individuals and teams on all levels.
-Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to collect, interpret, and
evaluate data to make informed recommendations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to identify and resolve challenges independently and effectively.
-An understanding of confidentiality requirements and the ability to exercise
sound ethics.
-Ability to work independently while respecting the role of the Division
Director.
-Proficient in the use of automated equipment and software including Microsoft
Office.
Desirable
Qualifications:
A master's degree in finance, business, public administration, or related
field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other financial certification.
