This position is located in the Club Division, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan. The incumbent performs a wide variety of work assignments during various shifts in support of the club operations.

Duties
- Responsible for completing sales transactions, operating a cash register, accounting for sales receipts, and providing customer service.
- Perform all types of cash register transactions (cash, charge, check, etc.) in a procedurally con-ect manner. Maintains change fund and accounts for sales.
- Completes daily activity report (DAR) at the end of assigned shift.
- Communicates effectively and knowledgably with customers in regards to products being sold.
- Assures that tables/work SU1faces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Clean other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
- Accepts food orders from patrons and may serve alcoholic beverages. Spot checks the guest checks to insure that the information recorded is correct.
- Follow all safety, security, and good housekeeping rules.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.

- The work may require some physical effort, such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, or sitting.
- There is a danger of slipping on a floor where food or beverages have been spilled.
Qualifications
- Must have skill and knowledge to perform tasks involving several procedures and be able to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions.
- Must have the ability to read and understand written material. Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to operate a cash register or point of sale system, run a snack bar.
- A working knowledge of sanitation standards is required as well as knowledge of procedures to prevent contamination.
- Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures.

How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
Your application will be screened for the following minimum qualifications:
- Current SOFA sponsorship
- 0 - 3 months general experience and/or high school graduate or equivalent
Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated for:
- Experience with collecting/issuing money bags and cash funds.
- Experience with receiving, counting and verifying money.
- Experience with cash processing policies and procedures.
