Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé.
Specialized Experience for the GS-14 level: You must have at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level in the federal service that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Developing and applying management techniques and methodologies to plan, execute, review, or advise on programs such as budget, policy and regulation, or development and administration of contracts; AND
- Experience with various HR functions such as recruitment, personnel actions, performance reviews, etc. in the oversight of all operations of an office; AND
- Supporting performance improvement efforts to identify trends, assist with corrective actions, and monitor areas affecting regulatory compliance in a senior living environment, to include supporting accreditation and survey readiness by maintaining familiarity with applicable standards, preparing documentation, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
SPECIAL NOTE: Long-term care experience and/or interacting with geriatric patients is highly desired.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis. Assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis.
- Because the AFRH's mission requires uninterrupted, direct human support and medical care for its Residents, this position is considered essential for continuing AFRH operations. Therefore, the incumbent is expected to arrive for duty on time, as scheduled, and to complete the assigned tour during emergency situations such as hazardous weather.
