Duties
Tour of Duty:
- Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Sunday night thru Friday morning 10pm to 6:30am
- Monday night thru Saturday morning 10pm to 6:30am
The hours may change due to operational needs.
The individual selected for this position will:
Performs the full range of cleaning duties in an assigned area without instruction, such as scheduling the use of wall washers for ongoing custodial maintenance of a building
Carries out a variety of custodial duties that involve handling, moving, and controlling heavy powered equipment and performing minor equipment maintenance.
Assignments include areas such as offices, restaurant facilities, public corridors, machine rooms, storage areas, closets, stairways, and restrooms.
Uses industrial-type equipment for tasks such as waxing and polishing floors; washing walls; and vacuuming rugs.
Cleans and maintains various types of floor, wall, and ceiling surfaces such as linoleum, wood, marble, tile, sandstone, bronze, concrete, stainless steel, glass, porcelain, and plastic.
Prepares area for cleaning by performing tasks such as pre-vacuuming, or moving heavy furniture, supplies, and equipment.
Notes items in the assigned areas that are not operating properly and which require repair, such as lights that don't switch on, floor covering that is damaged, and electrical outlets that are not supplying power to equipment.
Performs laboring tasks that require moderately heavy physical effort and that involve a number of successive steps or processes, such as collecting, and sorting recyclable materials as required and determined by management
Responsible for the collection of all wet waste material at various locations within the buildings such as suites, committees, and public areas as required and determined by management.
Enters each office and removes plastic bags of aluminum cans and plastic/glass bottles from each BOTTLE and CAN container as required and determined by management.
Disposes of all wet waste material to appropriate locations.
Cleans recycling containers as necessary.
