In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.
For this CP-14 position you must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-13/GS-15 level that is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) overseeing day-to-day human resources functions and strengthening the governance mechanisms to ensure human capital initiatives comply with applicable laws and policies; 2) providing strategic guidance, actionable support, and tailored recommendations to senior management to navigate evolving priorities, technologies, and organizational functions; 3) developing and implementing financial strategies and budgetary procedures to support complex human capital programs; and 4) leading and motivating a high-performing, collaborative, and mission-driven team.
Additional Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, public
administration, criminal justice, or related field.
-Ten plus years of specialized leadership experience in human resources,
business administration, or related field.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact courteously and
professionally with individuals and teams on all levels.
-Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to collect, interpret, and
evaluate data to make informed recommendations.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to identify and resolve challenges independently and effectively.
-An understanding of confidentiality requirements and the exercise of sound
judgment.
-Proficient in the use of technology, tools, and software including Microsoft
Office.
Desirable Qualifications:
A master's degree in in human resources, business, public
administration, criminal justice, or related field.
Five plus years of human resources leadership experience in
a Law Enforcement, Public Safety, or Military organization.
