Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) Headquarters Space Force Command (HQSF) at the Pentagon is searching for a Division Chief, Information Warfare and Mobility Requirements (NH-0343-04, GS 14/15 Equivalent).

Description:
This position serves as Division Chief for Information Warfare and Mobility within the HQ Space Force Operational Capability Requirements Directorate (S5R). You will lead C4Cyber and Logistics requirements development driving capability development for the Joint Warfighter from inception to acquisition for the entire Space Force and often the DoD. A dynamic work environment in which you will collaborate and confer with all levels of the enterprise- from Deltas to OSD entities. Presents opportunity to serve as supervisor, leader, mentor, and technical expert.

Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, flexibility, integrity, and strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Additionally, experience with planning processes, critical analysis, and supervisory positions at different levels is highly desired. Knowledge of space operations, program management, and C4Cyber is highly desired.

Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Expert knowledge of Joint Staff and Space Force operational capability requirements development processes and knowledge of the Department of Defense Planning Programming Budgeting and Execution process and Acquisition processes.
2. Extensive knowledge of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
3. In-depth knowledge of the relationship of the various Space Force entities involved in overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations, and the way the directorate processes supports them.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of the division and guide the workforce in achieving organizational goals.
5. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues; and maintain good working relations.
7. Other duties as assigned.

  • This position is on-site and not eligible for remote or telework.
  • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
  • PCS and relocation funding not available.
