The mission of the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is to serve Congress and the Supreme Court, preserve America's Capitol and inspire memorable experiences. The Library of Congress (LOC) is the largest library in the world, with millions of books, films and video, audio recordings, photographs, newspapers, maps and manuscripts in its collections. The Library Buildings and Grounds jurisdiction is responsible for the life-cycle maintenance, operation, development, and stewardship of the LOC facilities and surrounding grounds, including three incredibly monumental, historic buildings: the Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and James Madison Memorial Buildings.
