Duties

  • Serves as Executive Housekeeper at a lodging property for the Fort Sam Houston Army Fisher House.
  • Plans, develops, and implements procedures, policies and programs to ensure timely, consistent, and effective management of housekeeping and laundry services, and ensures accuracy of accounting and inventory records.
  • Sets quality standards consistent with the requirements of the Army Fisher House Standards for Service, Operations and Facilities to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive appearance of all guestrooms and public areas.
  • Responsible for the effective management and supervision of employees to include preparation of staff schedules, development and utilization of appropriate training and incentive programs. Supervises assigned staff; other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains daily communications with other departments. Deals effectively and objectively with subordinates, supervisory and management personnel, guests, union officials, contractors, and other outside contacts.

  • Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability determination.

Qualifications

Candidates Must Possess: Progressive experience which included supervising, leading, or management oversight of custodial workers/housekeepers in a hotel or similar customer service-based residential or guest facility. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of business processes required for budget development and management.

Highly Desired: Candidates with a two-year hospitality related associate degree or possession of a CHHE (Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive).

Salary Information:
Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week.
Hourly rate/salary is : NF-03: $42,137pa (20.19ph) - $50,171pa (24.04ph).

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
