Duties
- Serves as Executive Housekeeper at a lodging property for the Fort Sam Houston Army Fisher House.
- Plans, develops, and implements procedures, policies and programs to ensure timely, consistent, and effective management of housekeeping and laundry services, and ensures accuracy of accounting and inventory records.
- Sets quality standards consistent with the requirements of the Army Fisher House Standards for Service, Operations and Facilities to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive appearance of all guestrooms and public areas.
- Responsible for the effective management and supervision of employees to include preparation of staff schedules, development and utilization of appropriate training and incentive programs. Supervises assigned staff; other duties as assigned.
- Maintains daily communications with other departments. Deals effectively and objectively with subordinates, supervisory and management personnel, guests, union officials, contractors, and other outside contacts.

- Ability to work occasional Saturdays for special events (IF REQUIRED BY MANAGEMENT).
- A successful background investigation submission to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) must be met no later than 30 calendar days after entry on duty or placement in the position for internal candidates.
- Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability determination.
Qualifications
Candidates Must Possess: Progressive experience which included supervising, leading, or management oversight of custodial workers/housekeepers in a hotel or similar customer service-based residential or guest facility. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of business processes required for budget development and management.
Highly Desired: Candidates with a two-year hospitality related associate degree or possession of a CHHE (Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive).

Education
