Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ???????GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: structure fires, vehicle fires, aircraft emergencies and accidents, emergency medical calls, technical rescue calls and Hazardous Materials incidents, as a member of Engine Company or support vehicles; Ability to operate and drive emergency vehicles of all types as necessary, to include but not limited to Pumpers, Aerials, Heavy Rescue's, Ambulances and support vehicles. Must demonstrate an ability to follow specified routes, select alternate routes, maneuver or position vehicle considering factors such as wind direction, water sources, hazards and must always use due regard for the safety of the public, passengers, and pedestrians at all times; Operates pumps and ladders, utilizes basic fire ground hydraulics to determine and acquire proper pressures for hose lines.
