Summary
This is a seasonal position that performs general food service work at Naval Station Everett - Pacific Beach.
Duties
- Incumbent sets up food service counters, steam tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold foods including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter and beverages.
- Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping and dicing.
- Makes coffee, tea, ice water, and other beverages.
- Cleans equipment in kitchen and dining area.
- Clears and cleans dining tables, sweeps, mops and waxes floors
- Moves heavy garbage cans, and assists in unloading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation.
- Must be 18 years old and able to lift up to 45 pounds
- Incumbent must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility.
- Constantly standing or walking; frequently lifting or moving objects from 30 to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Must be able to multi-task and use good judgment
- Must have the ability to concentrate on uniform individual portions and to take multiple orders upon customer's requests.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food.
