Duties
The duties and responsibilities for a Financial Analyst in the Fraud Division generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducts comprehensive financial analysis and evaluation of programs, budgets, and expenditures to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and agency policies.
- Develops, reviews, and interprets financial data, reports, and statements to support decision-making and resource allocation.
- Prepares, monitors, and manages budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; identifies trends, variances, and potential issues.
- Coordinates and collaborates with program managers, budget officers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Utilizes financial management systems and tools to track, reconcile, and report on financial activities.
- Prepares briefing materials, presentations, and written reports for senior leadership and external oversight entities.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Financial Management Analyst, at GS-0501-13, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing automated financial systems and/or software to solve complex problems in financial reporting; and utilizing data from multiple types of financial reports to provide support to program activities.
