As a Financial Managment Analyst, GS-0501-13, you will be responsible for:
• Reviews financial reports and underlying data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards; resolves discrepancies through research and coordination with appropriate personnel.
• Conducts internal control reviews and testing activities in accordance with applicable Federal requirements (e.g., OMB Circular A-123), identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
• Supports audit readiness activities by responding to audit requests, analyzing findings, and assisting in the development and tracking of corrective actions.
• Analyzes financial processes, systems, and data to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in financial operations and reporting.
• Provides technical guidance to program staff and financial personnel on financial management processes, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
As a Financial Managment Analyst, GS-0501-14, you will be responsible for:
• Leads complex analyses and projects involving financial systems, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Serves as a technical authority on financial management and internal control matters affecting multiple programs or organizations.
• Develops and interprets policies and guidance related to financial management and internal control activities.
• Evaluates complex financial environments, including those involving multiple organizations, and recommends approaches to address risk and ensure effective control.
• Advises senior leadership on financial management issues, risks, and control considerations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-13, if you possess the specialize experience.
Specialized Experience for the GS-13
One year of experience in either federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-12 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
1. Experience analyzing financial data, systems, or processes to identify discrepancies, risks, or areas for improvement and supporting financial reporting or program operations.
2. Experience supporting internal control activities (e.g., risk assessments, control reviews, or testing) and identifying or documenting control deficiencies and corrective actions.
3. Experience supporting audit or compliance activities, including responding to audit requests, analyzing findings, or assisting in the implementation of corrective actions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). 1. Knowledge of financial management principles and practices to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and support reporting requirements.

Specialized Experience for the GS-14
One year of experience in either federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-13 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
1. Experience leading multifaceted financial analyses of processes, systems, or data to identify risks, trends, and systemic issues and recommend solutions.
2. Experience evaluating internal controls and assessing risk in accordance with federal financial management requirements (e.g., OMB Circular A-123), including identifying control deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
3. Experience advising stakeholders on financial management issues, including resolving complex problems and developing guidance, or influencing decisions to improve financial operations and accountability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). How you will be evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
We use a multi-step process to review and evaluate applicants:
1. Eligibility and Minimum Qualifications
Once the vacancy announcement closes, we will review your submitted resume and documents to determine if you meet the eligibility and minimum qualification requirements, including any required education, experience, and/or selective placement factors. 2. Rating and Ranking

Based on the outcome of this evaluation, you will be assigned a numerical score (out of 100 possible).
