GEOINT Hybrid Analyst will conduct complex GEOINT analysis on a variety of problem sets and areas. Candidates for this assignment should be an experience, and creative-thinking officer with interpersonal skills who can communicate effectively in a fast-paced operational environment. In addition, at times will be responsible for providing timely GEOINT in support of intelligence requirements at senior policymaker and executive levels. Analysts are expected to effectively gather, analyze and integrate complex multi-source data to complex GEOINT analysis in order to provide context and depth. Analysts will also apply a range of analytic and GIS tools to synthesize geospatial intelligence data and visualizations into complex analysis to satisfy customer requirements. Analysts will effectively leverage geospatial data management and stewardship skills.

Specific position within this job announcement at NGA Pentagon includes; Candidate selected for this position will support NGA Pentagon's GEOINT Exercise Support Team located with the Joint Warfighter Center supporting the Joint Staff J7. The analyst will collaborate with the team in Suffolk and other Intelligence Community partners to provide imagery products and support Joint Staff and Combatant Command Exercises and Demonstrations. This position requires a flexible schedule and periodic Temporary Duty Station (TDY) for short periods of time during exercise execution. In addition, candidates may be required to shift their hours to provide support within a broader window and occasionally provide support after hours or on weekends or holidays as mission requirements dictate

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Failure to comply may negatively impact continued access to Top Secret information, Information Systems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.


NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not eligible to apply for internal assignment opportunity notices.

This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement. Qualifications

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement:

1. Demonstrated experience of national and/or Commercial Imaging Systems; (examples include; Image Tasking; Image Processing; Image Exploitation, and writing imagery reports)
2. Demonstrated experience with research and analysis using geospatial information systems (GIS)
3. Demonstrated experience with geospatial database management or throughputs (such as server management or Geospatial databases)
4. Demonstrated experience with technical skills, and/or data analytic skills (examples include but not limited to; computer vision implementation, data mining in addition to analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, algorithm development, and/or data science)
5. Demonstrated experience addressing matters of national concern, such as foreign military, environmental, and/or terrorism
6. Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the needs of other organizations

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Cartography, Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Remote Sensing, Data Analytics, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline requiring analysis and interpretation of GEOINT data, or related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline requiring analysis and interpretation of GEOINT data, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:

1. Experience in meeting requirements on scheduled collaborative work with other organizations in a fast-paced and/or constantly changing environment
2. Knowledge of national or commercial imagery systems to include tasking, processing, exploitation, and analysis
3. Demonstrated experience using GEOINT data in analytic processes, techniques, or tools
4. Demonstrated ability to perform geospatial analysis and recommend GEOINT solutions
5. Demonstrated knowledge of analytic processes, tools, or techniques used to manage GEOINT data
6. Demonstrated experience with intelligence production and/or publication processes
