Duties
Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to established standards, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, emptying ashtrays, emptying wastebaskets, and polishing furniture. Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, replenish amenities, and ensure a fresh and welcoming atmosphere. Turns mattresses, sanitizes all fixtures and bedding with disinfectant, and services each room daily. Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department supervisor and follow up on guest requests or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other public areas. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; dust and wipe surfaces, including furniture, fixtures, and decorative elements. Using a ladder clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to ensure a clear and polished appearance. Empty trash and recycling receptacles for the interior and exterior, replace liners, and ensure proper disposal of waste. Restock supplies, such as towels, tissues, and hand sanitizers, in public areas. Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linens, including bedding, towels, and other textiles, using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Follow laundry care instructions and handle stained items with proper stain removal methods. Operate laundry equipment, such as washing machines, dryers, ironing machines, and steamers ensuring safe and efficient operation. Maintain an organized and clean laundry area, including storage of clean and dirty linens. Monitor and maintain inventory of clean linens, report shortages or damages, and coordinate with the housekeeping supervisor for timely replenishment. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel exterior areas, including parking lots, sidewalks, driveways, and outdoor seating areas. Remove trash, and debris from outdoor spaces, ensuring a tidy and presentable atmosphere. Sweep or hose down exterior surfaces, such as walkways and entrance areas, to remove dirt, dust, or spills. Clean and maintain outdoor furniture, ensuring it is free from dirt, stains, or damage. Perform general tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors in public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms. Clean and disinfect restrooms, including fixtures, floors, mirrors, and countertops. Dust and wipe surfaces, including windowsills, handrails, and furniture. Clean and maintain employee areas, such as break rooms, locker rooms, and offices, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for staff. Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring safe handling and proper placement. Support maintenance staff with maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs (10%). Performs other physical labor tasks as required, such as setting up meeting rooms or assisting with event setups. Using specific instructions, cleans fine furnishings to include brass, crystal, glass, and silk plants located within the Inns of the Corps or Marine Lodges. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of carpets and furniture. Ability to handle and control heavy powered equipment. Knowledge of proper uses of a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions and ability to remove different kinds of stains from a wide variety of surfaces. Ability to read and understand directions on labels and printed instructions. Responsibility: Supervisor provides general direction on common and recurring duties and incumbent performs these duties independently. Specific and detailed instructions are provided on new or complex assignments. Work is spot checked to adherence to instructions, completeness, quantity and quality. Physical Effort: Work requires constant standing, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting of objects. Climbs ladders and operates industrial equipment. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside and outside. Exposed to dirt, paint vapors and fumes. Exposed to vibration from heavy equipment, strong odors, and skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions.
