You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.
You MUST meet (2) of the (3) specialized experience requirements to qualify:
Specialized experience is defined as having all of the following:
1.) Experience providing personal training, i.e., cardiovascular conditioning, strength conditioning, mobility and balance.
2.) Experience establishing new and maintaining individual membership accounts utilizing electronic and hard copy records, tracking memberships monthly, billing client accounts bi-monthly, canceling memberships monthly utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software programs such as Healthcalc, EZFacility, Mind Body, pay.gov. etc.
3.) Experience designing and leading exercise programs for people of diverse and special populations with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome and orthopedic conditions.
