Duties
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will:
- Perform work associated with the recruitment, examination, selection, and placement of employees; applies personnel evaluation and staffing techniques in determining that applicants meet the requirements for employment or in ranking eligibles.
- Perform administrative support work that involves the supervision, lead, or human resources (HR) assistance work requiring a substantial knowledge of civilian HR terminology, requirements, procedures, operations, functions, and regulatory policy and procedural requirements applicable to HR transactions. Ability to perform the full range of supervisory functions, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work and evaluating performance.
- Provide assistance to HR Specialists responsible for managing the DOC political program and bureau SES/SL/ST requests, and working recruitment, selection, and performance actions for select DOC bureaus.
- Perform technical administrative assistance duties involving limited projects similar to those of administrative specialist but requiring the use of specialized, complicated techniques.

How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
We will review your resume, optional cover letter and supporting documentation to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for the position.
