Duties
Provides technical support in maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of employee and position data in the National Finance Center personnel/payroll system.
Applies a working knowledge of Human Resources rules, procedures, and standardized methods to support staffing, payroll, benefits and personnel processing activities.
Codes and processes personnel and payroll actions; reviews submitted actions for accuracy and completeness.
Computes service computation dates, calculates pay and determines salary, processes employee awards, and provides employment verifications.
Monitors error and suspense reports, identifies discrepancies, and initiates corrective actions or elevates issues to HR Specialists as needed.
Verifies personnel actions for accuracy, resolves routine processing issues, and uploads and maintains documents within the Electronic Official Personnel Folder.
Requests and reviews prior federal service records from former agencies and the Personnel Records Center to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Assists with the job offer and onboarding process, including preparing offer documents, coordinating and conducting new employee orientation, and supporting employee benefits and payroll processing.
Reviews organizational, position, and incumbent data reports and initiates updates to ensure position and employee information remains accurate and current.
Responds to routine employee and supervisor inquiries related to personnel data, HR systems, and processing requirements; refers complex issues to HR Specialists.
