Experience in the practical application of concepts, principles, and practices into results gained through extended study and experience. Recognized as a technical/functional cybersecurity and IA authority within and outside of the organization. Extensive knowledge in advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards and practices to develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services. Mastery and expert knowledge of the latest information security product developments and countermeasures; risk assessment, contingency planning and disaster recovery; software verification, validation tools; and personnel security. Mastery and expert knowledge of installation, test, and acceptance processes of system/application software and the assurance of the proper administration of the standard security products and the associated utility special products and major subsystems. Works with senior management to establish new fundamental concepts and criteria and stimulate the development of new policies, methodologies, and techniques.
2. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DoD Military Services and Agencies to provide command level staff guidance and/or USSF risk and analysis duties. Comprehensive knowledge of government and agency information operations and cybersecurity policies and standards applicable to commercial satellite communications used by organizations with DoD.
