Summary
This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of the Chief of Information Technology (OA IT). Incumbent project manages the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of a wide range of software applications using agency-approved, industry standard tools and practices.
Duties
As a IT Project Manager (APPSW), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Works with stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables; develops, modifies, or provides input to project plans; implements project plans to meet objectives.
- Manages, leads, or administers project resources; coordinates and monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk; implements or maintains quality assurance processes; makes improvements, solves problems, or takes corrective action when problems arise.
- Provides updates to leadership; gives presentations or briefings on all aspects of the project; participates in phase, milestone, and final project reviews; identifies project documentation requirements or procedures, develops and implements product release plan.
- Evaluates, monitors, or ensures compliance with laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures.
- Assists with the operation and maintenance of the OAIT Project Management business process; updates process documentation; identifies process gaps and proposes OAIT efforts to address them.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Examples of specialized experience are:
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates your ability to manage projects, program planning, budget, schedule, risk management and personnel resources; and coordinate with internal and external customers for Information Technology (IT) functional requirement development; and communicate program strategies, goals and status to stakeholders, management and higher-level leadership.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
