Duties
The duties and responsibilities for a IT Project Manager (APPSW/INFOSEC) GS-2210-11 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supporting project execution using problem-solving, teamwork, and technical competence to identify issues, track action items, and ensure adherence to established standards, procedures, and project requirements.
- Utilizing attention to detail, problem-solving, and systems lifecycle knowledge to support testing, quality assurance, and documentation of applications.
- Supporting COR activities by tracking contractor deliverables, maintaining contract documentation, and monitoring performance.
Requirements

- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain federal acquisition certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) at level 1.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or oProject Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification to support agile IT project delivery.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification support IT service management and operational effectiveness.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of IT Project Manager (APPSW/INFOSEC), at GS-2210-11, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions.
AND
Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties:
- Utilizes enterprise software tools to plan, track and/or manage project activities supporting IT initiatives.
OR
PhD., or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related, or some specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and have more than two years but less than three years of education as described above.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
